Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Place one pie crust in a pie dish.
  4. Fill the crust with the apple mixture.
  5. Dot the filling with butter.
  6. Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
  7. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
  9. Cool before serving.
