- 6 cups sliced apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 package pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Place one pie crust in a pie dish.
- Fill the crust with the apple mixture.
- Dot the filling with butter.
- Cover with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for better flavor.
- Serve with ice cream for a delicious addition.
