Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the diced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  7. Fold the apple mixture into the cookie dough.
  8. Spread the dough evenly into a greased baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
