A delicious dessert combining caramel and apple flavors in a pie.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 6 to 8 tablespoons ice water
- 6 cups thinly sliced apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add butter and blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in ice water until mixture forms a ball.
- Roll out half the dough and place in a pie pan.
- In another bowl, mix sliced apples with caramel sauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and sugar.
- Pour apple mixture into the pie crust.
- Roll out the remaining dough and place over the filling.
- Seal and cut slits on top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until crust is golden brown.
Notes
- Use tart apples for the best flavor.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
