  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan and line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs and vanilla until thick and lemon-colored.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a clean towel.
  9. Roll the cake with the towel and let it cool completely.
  10. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  11. Unroll the cake, spread the cream filling, and roll it back up.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
