Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  5. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
  7. Spread half the brownie batter in the pan.
  8. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and egg until smooth.
  9. Spread cream cheese mixture over brownie layer.
  10. Top with remaining brownie batter.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  12. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Serve with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
