Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with sour cream.
  7. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.
  9. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter in the pan.
  10. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the brown sugar mixture.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Let it cool before serving.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
