Ingredients

- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Add milk gradually, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
- Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate until set.
Notes
- Serve chilled for best taste.
- Can be topped with whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
