Description
A refreshing iced tea made with hibiscus flowers for detoxification.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Boil 8 cups of water in a pot.
- Add dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water.
- Remove from heat and steep for 15 minutes.
- Strain the tea to remove the flowers.
- Add honey or agave syrup while the tea is still warm.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice with lemon slices and mint leaves.
Notes
- You can adjust sweetness to taste.
- For a fruity twist, add berries while steeping.
- This tea can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
