Delicious holiday fruitcake bars filled with dried fruits and nuts.
Ingredients

- 1 cup mixed dried fruits
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix dried fruits and nuts.
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients.
- Stir in the fruit and nut mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be made a week in advance.
- For extra flavor, add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
