- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
- In another bowl, combine oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Let cupcakes cool completely.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla, beat until fluffy.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

- Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant color.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container.
