Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies coated in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Form dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place balls on a baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Cookies can be frozen for later use.
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
