Description
Delicious chocolate truffles with a whiskey caramel center.
Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup whiskey
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Heat the cream in a saucepan until it simmers.
- Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
- Add whiskey, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Mix well.
- Let the mixture cool, then refrigerate for 2 hours.
- In a separate saucepan, combine sugar and butter for caramel. Cook until golden brown.
- Pour the caramel into the chocolate mixture and stir.
- Chill again until firm.
- Scoop out balls and roll in cocoa powder.
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
